Influencer Marketing Glossary Part 6

Pre-roll or Mid-roll

On platforms like YouTube, ads often play before your content starts. If a brand includes some video clips from your content and places it in the pre-video ad, that’s a pre-roll. If they do it with content that plays in the middle of your video, that’s a mid-roll ad.

Print

Print usage rights allow a brand to publish your content on paper—for example, in a magazine or newspaper.

Reach

This is how many unique accounts your content has reached.

Repurpose

Repurposing content means using it in a format other than the one in which it was originally used. That might mean an influencer posts it on their other social media accounts or website. It’s a great way to make one piece of content do double or triple duty, increasing its reach and effectiveness.

ROI [Return on Investment]

ROI measures how much money brands make compared to how much they spend collaborating with an influencer. If a brand made $5 for every $1 spent, that’s great. If they make $1 for every $2 spent, that’s a disaster because they lost money.
